Grandmother's Tea Party 2013

“Grandmother’s are God’s special blessings”, was this year’s motto for our 2nd Annual Tea Party, held on September 7, at Walnut Grove Cultural Center. Grandmothers, daughters and

granddaughters came together -which the hottest day would not stop- to celebrate this wonderful occasion; it started with a Meditation and followed by refreshments of delicious tea

sandwiches, scones, cakes and hors d’oeuvres set up in the royal English style, along with a delicious variety of teas and other drinks. Snow cones and lemonade for the little ones were

offered to keep them hydrated!

WGCC never looked so bright and cheerful not only because of the decorations with angels expressing the girls’ love thoughts to grandma's, but most importantly, because all enjoyed an environment of true joy, love and friendship.

There was a big smile on the faces of all grandmothers when a group of girls from all ages entertained all with meaningful songs and when each one expressed in their own words what

their grandma meant for them.

A photo session was in progress throughout the afternoon for those grandmothers who wanted like to take a generational picture done professionally by Julie Florendo Camesa who generously offered her work and proceeds to WGCC. Thank you Julie!

Last, but not least, the raffle of various and most appealing items put a big happy face of those lucky ladies that took home the different prices

A big “thank you” to everyone who participated putting all their effort and love into this marvelous event, which made it possible to be a total success!!!
