Happy Spring! We have some very exciting news to share with you. To better serve your needs, we have established a Cooperator's Office and appointed a new Director, Rica Yan.
The mission of the Cooperator's Office is to assist our cooperators in fulfilling their commitment to help Walnut Grove with its material needs, and to facilitate opportunities for formation through Walnut Grove. Over the next few months, we will be reaching out to each of you through a Cooperator's Survey. If you have any questions, she can be reached by email at rica.WGCC@gmail.com. We hope you enjoy browsing through the newsletter.
Please check out the “TOOLS FOR BUILDING CULTURE” which can be used for an hour of study :-) Let’s strive for personal excellence in the service of others by being able to offer good reasons for what we believe!

Workshop Review: Let's Talk Fashion!
“Spend more, buy less!" This helpful tip was given at the "Let's Talk Fashion" workshop held at
Walnut Grove on Saturday, March 3rd. This fashion tip is just one of many ways we can learn to dress fashionably while still watching our wallets.
Over thirty women attended this workshop, each with their own styles and level of fashion knowledge. It was wonderful to have two
main speakers over topics in all areas of fashion - Jocelyn Quarles, a fashion blogger and wardrobe consultant, gave an overview of why fashion matters, along with practical style tips and secrets. Lindsey Enyart, a day-dress designer for Laundry and Perry Ellis, explained the process of designing a garment from its conception to creation. The workshop concluded with a social gathering and a fun scarf-tying segment. Thank you to all who participated.
Mark your calendar for the next Cooperator’s Workshop to be held on October 6, 2012. Topic: Civic
Responsibility. See you then!
Cooperator Survey- 100% turn-in expected, please help!
We are conducting a survey to help promote better communication of the activities available at Walnut Grove and other centers as well as for other members of your families. These will be hnaded out through circle groups. If you are not attending one, please contact Rica.firstname.lastname@example.org. Please participate and return your accomplished surveys no later than May 1.
